Cain looked up at the sky, figuring out that wherever he was, if it worked the way Earth did, then he had perhaps three, four hours of daylight at best. Glancing to the forest he shook his head, deciding to stay clear of it for now. There would be dangers in there once night fell, it was better that he found his shelter with the rocks.
But where was he, and where was Elijah? Surely if he was around, he would have heard him with his supernatural hearing.
"ELIJAH!!!" Shouting again, he tried not to let his despair wash over him, not yet. He hadn't figured out what happened yet, maybe Elijah was somewhere here too... Maybe. Unlikely... But maybe.
He had to think that way because he couldn't bear to think of any scenario where he lost his lover. Fifteen thousand years and he finally found someone to share his life with, a handful of months was not enough. If anything, he deserved to have this happiness. "Where the fuck are you..."
Trying to keep himself from drowning in his panic, he started to move. Maybe if he found a high point, he will be able to see what manner of place he came to. Maybe he'll see tracks. Maybe he'll see something, anything, to tell him where was his lover. Because Elijah had to be around here somewhere. If he wasn't, Cain didn't know what he was going to do.
