In the past, they'd both carried each other a time or two, so Elijah didn't even think twice when he picked up his lover to speed him toward the destination. It was out of necessity and only made sense to do it this way. If it'd been easier to do it some other way, then they would have done it that way.
Relief was visible on Elijah's face once they reached the spring and Cain had his share of water. Sure, they were both hungry-- but it had only been a little over 24 hours or so since they'd last eaten. They could easily last longer without food. Although, Elijah was certain that between the two of them they would figure out something to eat soon. Neither of them would die from poisoning or starvation, but neither were comfortable.
Glancing up at his lover, he moved into Cain's shadow and slid his arms around the immortal's waist, happy that they were here together. It was Elijah's turn to nuzzle his head into Cain's shoulder now, kissing lightly at the side of his neck. "I love you." He said softly before carrying on about anything survival related, because that was the very first matter of his survival, ultimately.
"I don't know where we are. I've seen a snake, and something that looked similar to a deer, but wasn't. I know we're not on earth, but I've no notion of where we are. I imagine we're going to have to hunt and gather for ourselves and find out what's good for us in the non-fun manner. My body will handle poisonous food better than yours, as I constantly, quickly renew. So, I should be our taste tester, I think. Then if you don't mind, when you are full, I will need blood."
