Cain too had seen signs of game trails on his trek around the outskirts of the forest and was relieved to hear that Elijah had seen bigger creatures as well. If it could move and was bigger, then Cain was confident it could be eaten. Larger creatures were dangerous but rarely poisonous.

"It doesn't matter what it is. If it looks big enough, we could use it. If you've seen a snake, then that means these creatures are close enough to be eaten." Cain hoped so. There were plants, so he assumed this world functioned on similar building blocks of life and he should be able to digest them. It would be incredible cruel indeed if this world was one that he could not find food in at all.

One thing caught his attention though. "You don't need to wait for me to be full to eat. Not both of us need to starve here. Just let me drink a bit more water to get hydrated again." If Elijah views to drink from from, Cain didn't mind. With Elijah at full strength, the immortal knew the hybrid had better chances of bringing hunting down game.
