Cain hadn't expected the honest sounding reply that this immortal vampire gave even though knowing that this man held undecipherable feelings for him was still a strange shock. Not so much that the vampire was mesmerized by him for some reason, but to be able to share and feel a fraction of that was strangely exhilarating. And here, again, Elijah was putting to voice to the devotion that he explained before.
Still, Cain couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, only partially in doubt and more from not understanding. "Only with me?" He had felt that encompassing feeling of... interest. But he still couldn't understand why him. Not to say the first son wasn't interesting, but Klaus didn't seem to find anything spectacular about him. Thoroughly believed he was beneath the vampire family if anything.
"And Klaus might be returning soon. I don't know about you, but I don't want to face your brother or his wrath if he doesn't find this amusing." Klaus' word was pretty much law in the household, and with Cain under his compulsion, or capable of being compelled at any second on the man's whim, he really was Cain's king.
Yet Cain didn't go yet, remaining seated on the bed as he looked over at Elijah still spread out beside him, his hand warm over his side. How long had it been since he slept with someone, stayed in someone else's bed, or simply laid with them even if he wasn't sleeping there? Or wanted to. Yet he did want to, and although he hesitated briefly, his hand reached out to rest on Elijah's thigh.
"I don't fancy needing to regrow another heart or head again if he doesn't simply break my neck."
