"I came, didn't I. That would typically preclude the fact that I enjoyed it." Elijah responded logically, and with rather little inflection in his tone. He moved from the bed and over to his dressing closet to procure one of his lavish robes. Sliding it over his shoulders, he saw no more reason for his nakedness and decided that he would show a slice of modesty granted they weren't really much of anything to one another currently.
"I'd have rather you either do what you had set about to do, or held your tongue completely. You already know how I feel on the matter. That is why I left. I don't know what more there is to discuss." Elijah moved back to his bed and sat on his side, taking a sip of the drink he'd poured on the way.
It may be markedly noted that he did not offer Cain one, even when his every sensibility told him to offer the other man a drink after what had just transpired between them. However, Elijah was far too busy trying to erect his walls of indifference up between him and Cain. This wasn't going to happen easily. No matter what was going to happen, it was going to be difficult.
The vampire still wanted and needed Cain on every level, but he didn't dare show it because of what the human needed from the vampire wasn't love, wasn't sex. It was some inexplicable feeling that he happened to catch once while they had sex, and they couldn't even do that properly-- even after a year of being apart. Cain didn't even allow Elijah the opportunity to take him, when he could have. It was a bitter reminder of how little the other regarded one of the things that Elijah needed most in life. Sadly.
