Hold me like you'll never let me go
Cain threw the vampire against the wall, a low growl rumbling from the depths of his throat as he took matters into his own hands. He knew the immortal creature could break free if he so wished, hell Elijah could snap every bone in Cain's body instead of letting himself be thrown around, but the ageless human didn't think he would. In fact, he would bet his immortality on it that the vampire would not raise a ha against him.
Even though he hadn't seen him for a year.
"Where were you?" He demanded, still growling as he slammed Elijah against the vertical brick surface again, his fists crumpling the immaculate lapels of the vampire's suit jacket where he had yet to let go of the other man.
"I have not seen you for a year, a full year!"
He thought the vampire had given up on him. Left without a word. And Cain thought he didn't care either, that his heart had frozen over from caring thousands of years ago, but somehow this impossible vampire managed to reawaken more than a spark. What he thought were mere fireworks in the dark had completely ignited his desires and passions, and made Cain yearn as the empty months passed by.
Then how dare Elijah just appear again, looking as if nothing had happened and it wasn't a year later after he had disappeared without a word of good bye.
Not that he was giving Elijah a chance to explain now as he meshed his lips hard against the vampire's lips and forced him into a kiss whether he was going to accept it or not.

No, he wouldn't face his brother's wrath for that. He wouldn't hold Hope up against the wall for that. Life in New Orleans had become too painful and he didn't need to stay, so he packed up his stuff and went to France for a year. It was a welcome relief, finding himself and his walls again. Welcoming in the solace of being alone.
It wasn't that Cain wasn't there in his heart, but he sealed the wall off. It was a door in the long hallway, as were all the other memories of love and heartache. Elijah could do this time and again, otherwise he'd never have lasted the thousand plus years of his life.
Not expecting much from anyone when the vampire came home late one night, Elijah slipped through the doors to his wing of the compound and was surprised when he was accosted and pressed up against the wall by large strong arms and firm hands. This was the last thing he expected from the man who didn't seem to care if he came or went. The voice immediately registered in his brain, and he tried so hard to press against that door in his mind. He'd locked it completely shut.
So, at first, Elijah merely let Cain take him, yell at him. It was true, Elijah had left. It wasn't as if they held promises to one another. Elijah had said that he wanted to take care of Cain, but he knew it was fruitless. He'd offered protection, but Cain scoffed and threw sarcasm in his face. It drew scars along Elijah's already torn up heart. He blinked at the man who looked so fiery, so fierce. Those blue eyes pierced his and he almost wanted to reach out, to cup the other male's cheek, to apologize.
Why then should he? He didn't owe Cain anything... He took a breath then, and in his own time answered.
"France. It didn't seem like you really cared, Cain. You scoffed, and told me that I didn't know my brother and you'd believe me when it happened. I knew that I didn't matter then, so I left. I needed time. Time to myself. What's a year, anywa--" Elijah didn't get much further because then he found a pair of lips upon his searing them tight. It was like Cain was desperate for air, and Elijah was the only source of it around.
It took minutes for Elijah to melt, but eventually with Cain kissing him like that, he did. It started with his lips parting, and opening to tangle with the other male. He slid his hands about Cain's waist and pushed away, but pulled him in all at the same time. He tried to fight his natural instincts. Everything in his head was telling him to run from this, but he couldn't fight the pain in his heart, the one begging this to be true, the one that was aching for any piece of this to be exactly what he'd always wanted it to be.
