Cain probably shouldn't have challenged Klaus. He probably shouldn't have done a lot of things, especially where Klaus was concerned, but telling the volatile hybrid that his idea was a bad one to his face wasn't without consequences, and it resulted in his chest being punched out and his heart pulled beating from his chest. He saw it coming really, but he had to say it because it was a piss poor idea that would turn the vampires of the French Quarter against the hybrid, but of course Klaus would hear nothing of it.
And since Klaus couldn't bow nicely from an argument, he wrapped his hand around Cain's heart and Cain could feel it squeeze in his chest even through the radiating pain from getting his ribs broken and pushed aside. It was cold, more than the pain, it was a constricting coldness. He dropped like a ton of bricks onto the ground, collapsing in a fold of limbs splayed every which way.
A heart being pulled out wasn't the same as a stabbed heart, and it had happened often enough by now that Cain knew he was going to lose about half a day, at least. Probably wake up in the evening in the foyer alone and still need to clean up the damn bloody mess, literally, that his body made while he was dead. Why couldn't Klaus just snap his neck this time?
That was his last thought before.... complete blackness.

Warm, white, that coated everything in a messy elaborate spray of pleasure, and Cain's own triggered seconds later, brought on by the convulsing body of the vampire beneath him. With a guttural wordless cry he came too, his climax ripping out of his body with the same explosive force as Elijah's own. Cain couldn't even form words if he wanted to, having been reduced to that primal intensity, the very words refused to form in his throat. Even after he filled his partner with his own abundance of pleasure, pumping it into that accepting body so hard that it came spilling back out, overflowing past the ring down their thighs to mix with Elijah's own fount of ecstasy and soak into the bed, Cain couldn't find the ability to speak.
He panted, voice feeling raw from his shout, possibly loud enough to be heard by anyone else in the building. Thankfully, hopefully, it was an empty shell at the moment, not that Cain really cared. What was the worse anyone could do to him really. "Uggnnn," he groaned moments later when he collapsed half onto Elijah and smearing cum all over each other with the action. But that too he couldn't bring himself to care at all. He felt emptied, in so many ways, physically, mentally, his soul as well, knowing that this explosion of short and elaborate fireworks was over, and taking with it the brief feeling of living that he felt in the minutes that had stretched during their performance. For two immortal beings, that was short, far far too short, and this emptying feeling he was left with felt even worse than before.
He did a piss poor job at taking care of anyone. That was nothing like what he had planned to do, he had lost control completely there, chased after the pleasure and flash bang of the moment rather than show properly what he promised this vampire.

The last thing that the vampire would have said was that the immortal had done a piss poor job-- Elijah thought that Cain had taken him with care and was exceptional at what he did. He reached up and cupped the sides of the other man's face and leaned up and kissed him thoroughly. "My gods that was amazing. You are amazing." Elijah said, less than eloquently, dropping back to the bed when he was finished with a huff of air.
"That was unlike anything I could have imagined. I had no idea it could be like that. Thank you for being the one to show me."

Yet Elijah seemed satisfied anyway, and as the feeling of satiation washed over them together, Cain melted into the kiss and returned it, letting the moment drag on as his body wallowed lazily in the pleasant afterglow of the moment. He couldn't explain it, something about being with Elijah here, like this, was so different from the other moments of meaningless sex he had experienced countless of times in his life.
"You're welcome," he said, more awkwardly that he'd like. Elijah had made him feel something, a spark, that even as Cain's lips locked with the vampire's, he couldn't understand what was it that he was feeling. There was that encompassing feeling that Elijah had shared with him earlier, but... that wasn't the same. Cain just knew he wanted to feel that spark again. "So, you'd do that again?"
With a sighing heave, he sat up. He should probably get going before Klaus caught him here. Cain didn't know what would happen, but he had been around Klaus long enough to know it wouldn't be pretty.

The vampire had always been taught that it felt like that for some people, but never thought he'd ever experience it given his preferences. He never thought to lose any part of himself to another, never thought to feel overwhelmed by anyone other than his brother, and that was complicated enough in its own right.
Elijah winced slightly at the sound of Cain's voice when he offered the necessary platitude of welcome, and then questioned him on if he'd do it again. The words of course wanted to tumble right out, but he bit them back and managed to wait a beat before speaking.
"I would do that again, but only with you." It was the absolute truth. Elijah found that he had no desire to do that sort of thing again with any other person aside from Cain, strange as it might sound. His hand had reached out to run down the other male's side when the immortal suddenly sat up.
"What? where are you going?" Elijah questioned when Cain began to leave. He didn't think about Klaus, didn't care about his brother right now. He didn't want to be left alone after sharing such an experience with someone, and couldn't fathom being left behind right after having sex like that.

Still, Cain couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, only partially in doubt and more from not understanding. "Only with me?" He had felt that encompassing feeling of... interest. But he still couldn't understand why him. Not to say the first son wasn't interesting, but Klaus didn't seem to find anything spectacular about him. Thoroughly believed he was beneath the vampire family if anything.
"And Klaus might be returning soon. I don't know about you, but I don't want to face your brother or his wrath if he doesn't find this amusing." Klaus' word was pretty much law in the household, and with Cain under his compulsion, or capable of being compelled at any second on the man's whim, he really was Cain's king.
Yet Cain didn't go yet, remaining seated on the bed as he looked over at Elijah still spread out beside him, his hand warm over his side. How long had it been since he slept with someone, stayed in someone else's bed, or simply laid with them even if he wasn't sleeping there? Or wanted to. Yet he did want to, and although he hesitated briefly, his hand reached out to rest on Elijah's thigh.
"I don't fancy needing to regrow another heart or head again if he doesn't simply break my neck."

"I doubt Klaus will come looking for me in my private quarters when he returns, and there are other servants to meet his needs. He doesn't always have to use you. Stay. Don't go to him now. I won't allow him to hurt you for this." Elijah meant it too. There was no way that he'd allow Klaus to punish Cain for simply being intimate with Elijah. He would say that he forced the servant and not that they chose to be together.
It would be that simple. It was already made up in the Original's mind. He reached out and did his best to pull Cain toward him, wanting to hold him in his arms, to feel their bodies together-- needing to kiss the one who'd made him feel something he'd never found with another person before. He wanted to spend time tracing over this new body, and looking over the features of this man whose wisdom outnumbered that of anyone else on the planet.

"Not to speak ill of your brother, but you know what an impossible man he is." Elijah had been with him far longer than Cain had, and Cain had been with him nearing a century.
Yet despite his words, Cain was turning in the bed so he could be facing Elijah. "You actually do not have a lot of servants running around. I'm certain you noticed, but not many have survived his tantrums." His own immortality was certainly the reason why he had survived it thus far.
"You know there is no allowing Klaus do anything. I'm not certain anyone is capable of stopping him if he is determined enough. It is a good thought though." As he said that, he reached out and lightly brushed at Elijah's hair while the other man peppered light admiring kisses upon him. It was so strange, having this man be here to do this, and Can absently wrapped a large around around his form to embrace him against his chest. Although knowing it made no real difference, he felt more at peace with Elijah against him.
"If I'm not to go anywhere, I'm going to stay the night. Do me a favor and don't let your brother drop me into an ocean while I'm asleep."

He smiled lightly at the mention of Klaus being difficult, and licked over his lips, still tasting the salt and copper from Cain's sweat and blood on his lips. "I know I haven't been home as much in recent times as others, and I don't know how many times you've suffered through watching my brother and I fight, but I can hold my own against him. He may bite me, but in the end we come to terms and he tends to bleed for me and heal me as well. We fight, but I'm as vicious as he is. I can handle his tantrums amazingly well."
Elijah did realize that Klaus tended towards killing help that displeased him, but there were some that were turned, and kept and others that were kept for their entire natural lives-- those that served the family well, and were under Elijah's protection. They may not have lived in the household, but then again, very few people lived under their roof. Elijah was fairly surprised that Klaus had allowed Cain in this close, honestly.
"No one allows me to do anything either. We are originals and all do things as we wish. If you and I wish to be together, then it will be. Klaus will get over it eventually, and he will not be taking you anywhere. I swear it to you." Elijah wrapped his arms around the other man, rather grateful that he'd decided to stay tonight. He laid his head upon Cain's chest and closed his eyes to the steady thudding within the cavity below. it would be so easy to let go and fall asleep.
Turning his head, he kissed the skin where his head lay, nuzzling against it softly. It wasn't something he could ever remember doing before-- taking comfort from another like this. Elijah was always the one offering the comfort, being the strong protective man with arms that held someone. He would have thought it impossible to relax, but it was so deceptively easy. It felt like the world couldn't reach in and grab them here. "Come, let's sleep. Tomorrow is a new day."

Yet what Cain worried about wasn't Elijah's ability to, but his willingness. It was no secret either how the vampire in a suit gave into his youngest brother's whims. It was part of his family first, his Always and Forever. Cain didn't doubt his ability, he just didn't see Elijah being interested enough to go up against his brother.
Although, there was that moment of sharing earlier, when he viewed the vampire's memories, and what was that depth of feeling that he felt from the Original. It was so intense and strong, that was the only reason Cain found there was a sliver of believability to what Elijah claimed.
"No, obviously not," he sad, his voice too soft to make out if it was meant to be patronizing or merely tiredness. It wasn't said because he believed him though. It was clear that the immortal man hadn't found anything worth putting his faith in a very long time, and until he could see Elijah truly gave him a reason to think otherwise, he wasn't going to get his hopes up simply because the Original had no idea how much damage that would do.
The worst thing that could happen was to get him worked up over something that meant nothing in the end. Because so few things truly meant anything in his life, and he'll wait to see if the vampire might be a light to his eternal darkness, or that flash of fireworks he first thought he was.
"You're a man of your word, I have heard that, but let's not rock that boat. We can have what we have here and let it be that." Not to mention, Cain felt a sort of... not quite loyalty, but his own attachment to Klaus. Yet that didn't stop him from wrapping his arm around the vampire now, taking comfort in this moment that was offered to them both.
